Lee Inman, RMT

Lee graduated from Eastern College with a Massage Therapy diploma in February of 2019 and immediately began growing a home practice by consulting with fellow community members and advertising on Instagram. Lee is now working full time out of their home and has grown passionate about being an entrepreneur with a purpose. Lee shares their home with their sweet cat Betty.

Mission Statement

My mission is to bring the 2SLGBTQ+ community of Halifax a holistic and queer massage therapy practice. I strive every day to learn about the needs of my clients, with particular consideration for sexuality and gender-based support. I am continuously pursuing the goals of a trauma-informed practice by performing community outreach and professional development.

Sophie Kaufman RMT (working out of Lee’s treatment space on Tuesday mornings)

Sophie Kaufman (they/she) graduated from Eastern College’s Massage Therapy program in June 2023, and is a member in good standing with MTANS. Sophie approaches massage therapy treatment from a trauma-informed care lens. They come to massage therapy with a commitment for holistic healthcare, for all bodies, from all walks of life. Sophie has worked with clients living with chronic pain, pelvic dysfunction, headaches, stress, anxiety, PTSD, sprains/strains, and has a particular interest in supporting 2SLGBTQ+ clients. She has a passion for making people feel safe in her treatment room, especially those who find traditional healthcare settings challenging. She utilizes myofascial techniques, passive stretching, and joint mobilizations to help clients reach their goals. Sophie focuses on somatic healing and the mind-body connection through their treatments. They have completed continuing education in pelvic pain and dysfunction, cupping, and myofascial release. In their spare time, Sophie loves to spend time baking, swimming in oceans and lakes, reading graphic novels at her local library, and taking her cat George for walks.
